About Menos Hiras

If you were to summarize who Menos Hiras is, it would be with these words: high school athlete, religious (he grew up going to a Greek Orthodox church), volunteer, Political Science student, and aspiring lawyer.

                        Childhood & Education

To expound a little, Menos Hiras was born and raised in Holmdel, New Jersey, in a big Greek Orthodox family, even if he only has one sibling, a sister. He enjoys playing all kinds of sports especially soccer and basketball. In fact, during his four years in high school, he played for his school’s soccer varsity team. He also played for an indoor soccer team during winter.

Growing up, Menos Hiras attended the Kimisis Tis Theotoku Greek Orthodox Church, where he participated in the church’s Greek Orthodox Youth Association (G.O.Y.A), Greek Folk Dancing, community service, Sunday school, Greek school, basketball leagues, and other church-sponsored activities.

He moved to Galloway, New Jersey to study Political Science at Stockton University. He is currently in his senior year and expects to complete his bachelor’s degree in December this year. According to him, his days are always like a juggling act, balancing studies, volunteer work, keeping up with his fitness routine, and the occasional get-together with his fraternity friends.

Hobbies and interests

Menos Hiras is a huge fan of Game of Thrones and he was sad to see his beloved series end. He also followed such hit series as Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, Peaky Blinders, The Wire, and Power. His go-to channel, however, is ESPN. He likes to keep the channel on in the background (sort of his white noise) when he isn’t watching anything specific on the channel but when the Steelers and LeBron James are on, you can be sure to find him, and his fraternity friends glued to the set.
